CPTE offers “Fitness for the rest of us”. The atmosphere and attitude are of health and well-being and differs greatly from a typical gym. The programs are designed for individuals with specific needs, who want more assistance, and desire to reach their goals in a comfortable, supervised setting.
At our Nashua facility, CPTE offers several fitness programs with degreed and certified exercise specialists and an extensive set of exercise equipment. We offer various programs to meet many needs, whether you are losing weight, playing sports, have a medical condition, recovering from an injury, need balance training, or just want to be more fit.

Start-up Sessions
We teach you how to use the equipment and how to exercise safely and properly through a series of one-on-one sessions. We teach you how to record your workouts. You continue with the start-ups until you are ready to exercise safely on your own. The number of sessions needed depends on your needs.

Fitness Evaluation
To understand your baseline fitness level and any medical history that needs attention while exercising. We also learn what your goals are.

General Membership
Unlimited use of all cardio and strength equipment. You may come as often as you like and at any time that we are open.
Cardiovascular (Aerobic) Membership
Unlimited use of the cardio equipment and stretching mats.
Personal Training
One-on-One training with a certified exercise specialist. Sessions offered in 30 minutes and 60 minute blocks.
Medical Fitness Programs
Exercise protocols designed to maximize the exercise experience and work safely with any medical or medication restrictions. If necessary, we can monitor blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, blood glucose, and more.
We work with your physician to design a safe program to fit your medical needs.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Maintenance
A cardiac rehab exercise protocol for individuals completing their in-hospital cardiac rehab. Our exercise specialists are trained to work with cardiac patients. Monitoring of resting and exercise heart rate, blood pressure, and other physiological signs.
Sports Conditioning
Sports specific exercise protocols to help prepare your body for the demands of specific sports. Programs include strength training, agility, speed, power, core conditioning, and endurance training.
Balance and Stability Program
We assess your balance and then design a stability training program to improve balance and mobility. Program includes exercise for the clinic and home.
Pound for Pound Weight Management Programs
We combine the proven Transitions® Lifestyle Weight Management Program with our successful exercise program to create a very successful weight loss and lifestyle management program. The program includes a fitness and body fat assessment, nutrition education, and small group supervised exercise classes.

Post PT Exercise Maintenance Programs
Physical therapy patients can continue their rehab exercise routine after they are discharged. For a small fee, former patients can use the exercise equipment at the clinic they were rehabbed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a physician’s clearance to join CPTE’s fitness program?
Generally no. However, after reviewing your medical history, we may determine that your medical condition necessitates a physician’s clearance. CPTE’s Fitness Department follows exercise risk guidelines of the American heart Association, American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Council on Exercise.
Do you have shower facilities?
Yes. We provide towels, wash clothes, bath robes, soap, and shampoo. We also provide locks for the lockers. All of this at no additional charge.
Am I required to buy a yearly plan and are fitness fees paid through an EFT?
CPTE charges its fees on a per use basis – by month and by session. You do not pay for multiple months or multiple sessions. You will receive a statement at the end of each month indicating your monthly rate for the following month. We do not use an EFT system. You can pay be cash, check, or credit card.
I go to Florida for the winter. Can I freeze my membership?
Yes you can. Just give us notice when you will be leaving and when you anticipate you return and we will freeze your membership until you return. There are no fees charged to you while you are away.
Will my health insurance pay my fitness membership fees?
Typically no, but check with your health insurance plan for any fitness benefit. Many insurance carriers, such as Anthem BC/BS offers a payback program for individuals that workout regularly. CPTE is a member of the Fitness Networks for Anthem, Harvard, and Cigna health plans. We offer discounted membership fees for members of these health plans.
