Bad Weather

CPTE seldom closes even during bad weather; this is because continuity of care for most patients is vital to their effective rehabilitation. Losing an appointment may cause some setback so we do everything possible to be fully staffed and remain open at all times.

If you cannot make an appointment during a storm we will make every effort to reschedule your appointment to the next day so that you can receive the same number of treatments originally scheduled for that week and keep on track.

Closing or revised hours - Check here during bad weather for possible revised hours or closings.

Calling you - As a convenience to you, and when there is enough forewarning of a storm, we may in some cases contact you the day before the storm so that we know your plans and to reschedule your appointment.

Canceling and Rescheduling - If you are unable to make your appointment due to the weather please call the front desk of the respective facility to reschedule the appointment. In most cases we will reschedule your appointment to the next day. For a full list of contact numbers, click here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I e-mail the front desk to cancel and reschedule an appointment during bad weather?

Since rescheduling an appointment will require interaction with the desk it is best to speak with the front desk directly. If this is in not possible, an e-mail indicating your plans will be helpful, the front desk will then call you back to rescheduled the appointment.

I normally go to PT Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. With a storm on Monday I have rescheduled the Monday appointment to Tuesday. Is having PT two days in a row a problem?

The Therapist will modify your treatment plan that week to take this into account. By rescheduling to the next day you won’t lose valuable treatment sessions and you can stay on track for a faster recovery. Additionally CPTE may increase hours and staff the day after a storm.
