CPTE Telehealth Appointments

CPTE Telehealth Appointments

CPTE remains committed to supporting your overall health and well-being during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This is not a time to ignore the issues that brought you to physical therapy, to live in pain, and make an injury or health condition worse. Physical therapy is an essential healthcare resource to help you during these times of increased stress, activity at home, and the need to focus on your health and safety.

What is Telehealth

Telehealth is a way for us to make sure that our patients are still receiving the highest possible quality of care they need from a remote location. At CPTE, our telehealth services offer live interaction with our skilled physical therapists enabling them to deliver high-quality treatment to you conveniently and safely. Your therapist will evaluate you and your symptoms, provide direct guidance and supervision of your individualized treatment program from the comfort of your own home during this quarantine. Your therapist can track your progress and see how you are responding to your treatment and make the proper adjustments and guide you on home strategies.

At a time when obtaining treatment, rehabilitation, and achieving wellness goals have been interrupted, modern technology makes it possible for us to begin physical therapy or continue your plan of care.

How does it work?

Convenient and easy to use from your:

    • Smartphone: iPhone or Android
    • Tablet
    • Laptop or computer with a Web Browser with a camera and audio

This video conference appointment is completed over a platform called Doxy.me which is a HIPAA compliant telehealth program. Once you schedule the telehealth consultation, you will receive a link that allows you access to join the visit at the scheduled time. The software does the rest.

Initially, your therapist will schedule 60 minutes for the appointment and will adjust as your treatment demands. Typically, the physical therapy session will be 30-45 minutes.

We follow CDC guidelines for providing a low-risk environment for all in-clinic visits, however, we know that many of us need to stay home due to risk factors or you are electing to stay home. We put your health and safety at the forefront of our practice and if you are not able to attend in-clinic appointments we now offer Telehealth services. This allows you to access an expert in the evaluation and treatment of physical therapy-related problems to help reduce pain, improve mobility, increase strength and endurance, and address many functional issues including gait, posture, and mobility issues around your home.
The health and safety of our patients are at the forefront of our practice and we are following all CDC and State guidelines to ensure our clinics practice proper sanitation and social distancing for patients that choose to come in for an appointment.
