Post-COVID Syndrome (PACS) covers a wide range of new, returning, or ongoing health problems after being infected with the COVID-19 virus. It is estimated that 10 – 20% of COVID-19 patients show one or more of these acute symptoms 12 weeks after a COVID-19 diagnosis. Occupational Therapy Evaluation
Assessment of current deficits relating to the patient’s ability to perform Activities of Daily Living including Work, School and Home Management, Sleep, and Leisure Activities. If indicated, cognitive testing is performed to help identify any areas of the patient’s ability to concentrate, remember information, complete cognitive tasks, and assess mood changes.
Physical Therapy Evaluation
Complete Assessment of patient’s deficits relating to strength, flexibility, endurance including fatigue levels, exercise tolerance and capacity, neurological status, balance, dizziness, exertional malaise, autonomic dysfunction, and the general ability to physically function during daily activities.
Achieve Your Goals
Our therapists listen to you and your goals and combine the information with assessment results to design and develop a patient – specific occupational and/or physical therapy treatment plan. The treatment plan utilizes specific combinations of therapeutic interventions guided by the knowledge and experience related to the nuances of treating PACS. The goal of treatment is to facilitate the patient’s return to optimal quality of life at home, work, school and recreationally.
